Census Bureau Posts Ten Voting Trend Graphics

AutoInformed.com

Fewer than 60% of U.S. citizens bother to vote.

The U.S. Census Bureau has released 10 voting trend graphics that highlight national elections by race, age, education, and other characteristics since 1964. Four of the voting trend graphics address presidential elections, four cover congressional elections and two look at  all national elections.

All the graphics are based on previously released tabulations from the November Voting and Registration Supplement of the Current Population Survey. Noteworthy are the extremely low rates of participation among large numbers of people of all backgrounds.
