The North American International Auto Show today announced a partnership with Wayne State University. WSU students will be conducting a demographic study for the revised event, commonly known as the Detroit Auto Show, as a student project. The University’s Mike Ilitch School of Business is also planning to host a series of panel discussions regarding diversity and the future of mobility during Public Days.
“Students will be directly engaged with the show, managing and completing a demographic study of the various audiences that the show attracts. We are also delighted that the Mike Ilitch School of Business is hosting a mobility conference in association with the Public Show,” said Rod Alberts, Executive Director of the Detroit Auto Show.
The statistical study project will be coordinated by WSU’s sociology department under Professor Merolla. Students will be responsible for all aspects of the study and will be onsite at the show conducting research. The survey will be the primary class project for the incoming sociology class this fall. The final report will be presented by the students to Detroit Auto Show Management upon completion.
In conjunction with The Detroit Auto Show, the Ilitch School of Business will host the Executive Speaker Series: Automotive Summit 2022. This will be held the morning of Tuesday 20 September, at the Ilitch School’s Lear Auditorium, 2771 Woodward Avenue in downtown Detroit. A presentation entitled “Recruiting Diverse Talent for the Automotive Industry,” is one of the programs planned. Themes will be for community and industry audiences, but accessible to WSU students, faculty and alumni at no charge. The North American International Auto Show (aka Detroit Auto Show) announced today that Huntington will be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2022 Charity Preview on Friday, Sept.16, 2022, at Huntington Place. The Convention Center was renamed Huntington Place in December of 2021. As the Presenting Sponsor, Huntington will receive recognition throughout the evening, host a private reception and have the opportunity to welcome all guests.
“We are delighted to welcome Huntington as the Presenting Sponsor of Charity Preview. The return of this annual gala is so important as it raises much-needed funds to make a difference in the lives of children in our community,” said Rod Alberts, executive director of the Detroit Auto Show.
DADA says this fall’s Charity Preview will attract thousands of auto executives, regional industrialists, media, civic and society leaders to this black-tie event. Most importantly, millions will be raised for children’s charities in Southeastern Michigan.
