M1 Concourse will provide R/C cars, slot cars, pedal cars, and painting activities for children to enjoy. A variety of food trucks and beverages will be in the Arena for guests to indulge in during show hours. For what’s said to be “an elevated culinary experience,” guests can upgrade to Hot Rod Café and enjoy catered food and cocktails out of the hot sun and in the cool M1 Concourse Event Center.
Other aspects of Friday’s Woodward Dream Show schedule on 18 August include:
• Access to all show and display cars
• Insiders’ Garage Speakers Symposium hosted by WLLZ’s Doug Podell People’s Choice voting and car awards
• A skydiver • A flyover from the classic military airplane nicknamed the “Flying Fortress”
The Corvette Anniversary Exhibit will celebrate 70 years of Corvette and feature a display of 70 Corvettes, one Corvette from each production year, including the only 1983 Corvette that is located in the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Guests can find this display on the M1 Concourse Event Center Plaza.
To close the weekend, Saturday’s itinerary includes the Woodward Dream Parade and the M1 Cruise-In. The Woodward Dream Parade is an “invite only” parade of 200 cars that will cruise the legendary Woodward Avenue going through downtown Pontiac and back to M1 Concourse. The M1 Cruise-in is open to cars interested in parking on-site during Woodward Dream Cruise on Saturday, 19 August.
