The Mercedes-AMG GT2 Edition W16 is not homologated. It does not have to meet any racing series requirements or restrictions. The Handcrafted 4.0L V8 biturbo has been optimized with new turbochargers and modified engine electronics to generate a maximum output of 818 hp. As noted, the GT2 Edition W16 is the most powerful GT sports car ever built by Mercedes-AMG.
