Pichler-Necek succeeds Kurt Schwaiger, who has headed up Porsche Engineering’s Chinese activities since 2015. Schwaiger is returning to Germany to retire after more than six years as Managing Director of Porsche Engineering in China. The move in the totalitarian state comes as German automakers are scrambling to adopt to the disruptions caused by Putin’s war against Ukraine.
