FCA US has just confirmed that it has reached a new tentative agreement with the UAW bargaining team.
A week ago, 65% of UAW local members voted against the proposed four-year labor agreement worked out by the International union and FCA because it did not completely eliminate two-tier wages, did not do enough for retirees, and was vague about what vehicles would go to what plants. “Because the agreement is subject to UAW member ratification, the Company cannot discuss the specifics of the agreement pending a vote by UAW members,” FCA said.
