For the second consecutive race, Matt Hagan steered his Mopar Express Lane Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car to victory in an all-Mopar final round, capping off a dream weekend with a win at the 28th Annual NHRA Kansas Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka. Hagan also claimed the No. 1 qualifier spot and set NHRA national records for time and speed at the drag race.
Courtney Force, No. 4 qualifier in the Traxxas Chevrolet Camaro SS, competed in the semifinals for the third consecutive race at Heartland Park Topeka in Kansas. Force’s holeshot started a 3.961-second run in Round 2 against Alexis DeJoria. This sent Force into the semis against top qualifier and the ultimate class winner Matt Hagan. Force has qualified in the top four in seven consecutive races.
