Enterprise CarShare and Nissan today announced a multi-year deal that supplies Enterprise CarShare fleets on 90 university campuses exclusively with Nissan vehicles. This is just the latest example of how traditional models of vehicle ownership are under attack from car sharing of inexpensive taxi services.Enterprise CarShare, Nissan Start College Car Sharing
Enterprise CarShare offers vehicles at an affordable price, when and where customers need them, whether it is for an hour, a day, a weekend or longer. Enterprise CarShare is available in more than 35 U.S. states, Canada and the U.K., on more than 100 university campuses, 40 dedicated government and business programs and hundreds of business accounts across the country
This deal follows new research from Enterprise, which indicates that the rental experience has a powerful influence on the decision to buy a car. Enterprise claims this effect is especially pronounced in younger age groups with 68% of millennial customers surveyed reporting that they have considered purchasing a specific model of car based on renting it; nearly one in three millennials indicated that a positive rental experience prompted them to start shopping for a new car.
“The Enterprise CarShare program offers a convenient way for college students, faculty and staff to enjoy an extended test drive of a wide range of Nissan vehicles and to experience ‘Innovation that excites’ firsthand,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S.A., Nissan North America.
“And for those about to graduate and recent graduates, we’ll be there to support the transition into the working world with our College Grad program when they are ready to purchase a new Nissan car, SUV or truck.”
Nissan’s New College Grad Program provides no haggle pricing, plus all applicable incentives. Students receive one of the best available finance rates even without prior credit history, as well as a 90-day deferred payment option.
