Owners of the affected Honda models will be notified starting in late April.

That problem derives from the routing of the wiring harness to the headlight switch, causing, according to Honda, wear on the plating of the wiring harness connectors. This results in corrosion and causes the connector to overheat and fail. The high-beam headlight circuit is not affected.  (Read AutoInformed.com on: American Honda Recalls Fit for Headlight Failures) It was not immediately clear if this is a related or different problem on CR-V and Pilot headlights.
