Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango Recalls for Stalling

Chrysler, aka FCA US, recalls covering 340,000 2012-2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango models – some of its best sellers – for stalling without warning. A fuel pump relay inside an engine control computer quits, which can also cause a failure to start. This is an expansion of a previous safety defect stalling recall on a Continental supplied part.

Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump with an externally mounted one. The recall is expected to begin April 24, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler’s number for this recall is R09.
