Lincoln has released photos of the Continental concept that will debut at the New York Auto Show later this week. The sedan looks to be close to production ready, showing a marked Chinese influence with its use of chrome and bright-work. The chrome grille marks the arrival of what’s said to be new face for Lincoln. The previous cascade grille, borrowed from classic Continental modals long since gone.
Continental is due to go on sales next year in North America and China, where Ford Motor has no luxury presence of note in the world’s largest auto market.
Power comes from what is claimed to be a Lincoln-exclusive 3-liter V6 EcoBoost engine. The car has polished-aluminum, painted-pocket 21-inch wheels.
Driver assist technologies include Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Enhanced Park Assist and a 360-degree camera that displays on the MyLincoln Touch screen.
