Nissan today announced “America’s Best Truck Warranty” on its 2017 Titan and XD full-size pickups – bumper-to-bumper coverage of 5-years/100,000-miles, whichever comes first. Vehicles covered by the new warranty – which also includes basic and powertrain coverage – include all Titan V8 gasoline models and diesel and V8 gasoline versions of the 2017 XD models, including both 4×4 and 4×2 drive configurations, in Crew Cab and Single Cab models. Pricing ranges from $36,000 to more than $56,000 for gasoline versions.
“We’re pleased to now offer the same confidence-inspiring protection as our commercial vehicles for our entire range,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles.
The 2017 Titans should arrive at Nissan dealers nationwide later this month. New XD and Single Cabs, the first single cab variants in Titan history, join the lineup in late fall. A King Cab body configuration, along with a V6 engine, will follow at a later date.
Nissan introduced “America’s Best Commercial Van Warranty” – also 5 years/100,000 miles – in June 2014 for its expanding light commercial vehicle lineup. The results are positive, with Nissan NV Cargo and Passenger van sales up nearly 10% during 2016. NV200 cargo van sales have increased 17% through July.

He is past president of The International Motor Press Assn, the Detroit Press Club, founding member and first President of the Automotive Press Assn. Above all, decades after he first drove a car, Zino still revels in the sound of the exhaust as the throttle is blipped during a downshift and the driver’s rush that occurs when the entry, apex and exit points of a turn are smoothly and swiftly crossed. It’s the beginning of a perfect lap.
AutoInformed has an editorial philosophy that loves transportation machines of all kinds while promoting critical thinking about the future use of cars and trucks.
Zino builds AutoInformed from his background in automotive journalism starting at Hearst Publishing in New York City on Motor and MotorTech Magazines and car testing where he reviewed hundreds of vehicles in his decade-long stint as the Detroit Bureau Chief of Road & Track magazine.
