The 2024 Acura Integra Type S, said to be the most powerful, best performing Integra ever, will arrive at Acura dealers Monday, June 19, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $50,800.¹

This works out to at least $12,999 per cylinder for a turbocharged engine rated at 320 horsepower (SAE net @ 6500 rpm) and 310 lb.-ft. of torque (SAE net @ 2,600 – 4000 rpm). This is an increase of 120 hp and 118 lb.-ft. compared to the 2023 model that returned the Integra nameplate to the Acura lineup about a one year ago (AutoInformed on: Pre-Order 2024 Acura Integra Type S on 11 May).

So-called premium features and technologies include heated front sport seats, a 10.2-inch Acura Precision Cockpit™ digital instrument cluster, head-up display, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, wireless phone charging and a 16-speaker ELS STUDIO 3D® premium audio system.

This is the fourth Acura Type S performance variant to launch in the last two years, which begs the question of what is “ultimate street performance,” since Acura keeps marketing, new variants as it spreads across the lineup?

Standard high-performance hardware includes a 6-speed manual transmission, limited slip differential and an innovative dual-axis front suspension design that Acura claims improves road holding and reduces torque steer. Given the impressive torque rating, AutoInformed wonders how much of it will go up in tire smoke instead of acceleration?

A performance-tuned Adaptive Damper System controls ride and handling with optimized damping curves to suit driving conditions. Brembo® front brakes and lightweight 19-inch wheels wrapped in 265/30 R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S high-performance summer tires are part of the package.

Integra Type S has “wide body design,” center-mounted triple exhaust outlets, large front air intakes and rear diffuser. Integra Type S is also the only vehicle in the premium performance compact segment to offer a flexible 5-door liftback design.
