On May 28th and 29th, 2022, about 1000 Alpine models of all generations will take to the lawns of the seaside city of Dieppe to celebrate 100 years since the birth of Jean Rédélé, Alpine said today. The Alpine A110 will be unveiled in a special trim in tribute to its founder. Dieppe is home to the brand’s historic industrial site, the Manufacture Alpine Jean Rédélé de Dieppe, recently renamed by Luca de Meo, CEO Renault Group.
Participants and visitors will be taken on a journey through the major milestones of the brand’s history. This will include an exhibition of Jean Rédélé’s famous vehicles, belongings, and personal memorabilia, as well as an Alpine parade through the streets of Dieppe.
Along with Alpine representatives, the Rédélé family will be joined by prominent people from the brand’s 60-year history: Biche driver and co-driver, Marcel Callewaert, Jacques Cheinisse, Bernard Darniche, Christian Ethuin, Guy Fréquelin, Vincent Lavergne, Michel Leclère, Bob Neyret, Jean-Pierre Nicolas, Alain Serpaggi, Jean Vinatier, Michel Vial, as well as those behind the success of the new A110, Jean-Pascal Dauce, Antony Villain, Pierre Sancinéna, and Laurent Hurgon.
An Event By The Fans, For The Fans?
IDEA (a Dieppe-based organization for Alpine events) was founded to run the event and brings together other organizations such as the Alpine Alumni Association (AAA), the Dieppe Alpine Club (CAD), and the Dieppe Alpine Factory Club (CAUD).
Alpine will take part in the public celebration with the presence of the thus far competitive Alpine A522 (F1) and the presentation of a brand new A110 in a new version, for the many enthusiasts gathered during this weekend.
Registration and all other information about the event are available on the event’s website. Anyone with an Alpine, be it one of the earliest models from the 1950s or even the latest A110, can still register for the event via the website: www.1000alpine2022.fr.
