The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company today debuted its new ElectricDrive GT. It’s Goodyear’s first replacement tire in North America tuned for electric vehicles. EDGT is not a male health disorder, but rather high performance, all-season tire that is claimed to provide long-lasting tread wear and a quiet ride for EV drivers and passengers.
Goodyear says it will expand the ElectricDrive product line in 2022. The initial release of the EDGT is size 255/45R19 104W XL. They will be available only through goodyear.com. and fits some of the most popular EV high-performance models.
Electric vehicles present a very specific set of requirements for load, torque, noise, range, rolling resistance and overall performance,” said David Reese, vice president, Product Development, Goodyear Americas.

Above all, decades after he first drove a car, Zino still revels in the sound of the exhaust as the throttle is blipped during a downshift and the driver’s rush that occurs when the entry, apex and exit points of a turn are smoothly and swiftly crossed. It’s the beginning of a perfect lap.
AutoInformed has an editorial philosophy that loves transportation machines of all kinds while promoting critical thinking about the future use of cars and trucks.
Zino builds AutoInformed from his background in automotive journalism starting at Hearst Publishing in New York City on Motor and MotorTech Magazines and car testing where he reviewed hundreds of vehicles in his decade-long stint as the Detroit Bureau Chief of Road & Track magazine.
