Hertz is offering race fans a $22 discount to celebrate this weekend’s Nascar win at Watkins Glen by defending Sprint Cup Champion Brad Keselowski. This was Keselowski’s first win in the Hertz Ford Mustang and his 18th Nationwide Series win driving the No. 22 for Penske Racing.

To receive the Penske Racing Win discount, customers must mention Promotion Code (PC#  183234) to receive $22 off their next weekly Hertz rental. The Win discount can be combined with the special Hertz Racing Discount Program (mention corporate discount number — CDP#:  2222222 at time of reservation) for extra savings. The Racing discounts are subject to all applicable terms and conditions and blackout dates may apply.

On Saturday afternoon, Keselowski led 46 of the 82 laps helping him win for the first time in the Hertz Ford Mustang, placing him within five points of first place in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Owner’s Standings under Nascar’s incomprehensible award system.

Keselowski took the lead for the final time with 41 laps to go. During the final run, Keselowski was able to pull away from the field, earning his fourth Nationwide Series win of the season. It was Keselowski’s 24th-career Nationwide Series victory.

The Hertz Corporation and Penske Racing recently introduced the special edition “Hertz Penske GT.” The Ford Mustang GT with a 5-liter V8 engine joins other muscle cars in the so-called Hertz ‘Adrenaline Collection’ and has performance upgrades for renters. The limited edition pony car is available at some U.S. airport locations. (Read AutoInformed on Hertz and Penske Debut Special Edition Mustang GT)

It’s the beginning of a perfect lap. AutoInformed has an editorial philosophy that loves transportation machines of all kinds while promoting critical thinking about the future use of cars and trucks. Zino builds AutoInformed from his background in automotive journalism starting at Hearst Publishing in New York City on Motor and MotorTech Magazines and car testing where he reviewed hundreds of vehicles in his decade-long stint as the Detroit Bureau Chief of Road & Track magazine.
