Porsche Recalls New 911 for a Possible Gasoline Leak

Maybe the gasoline line connector is a little too quick, like the car?

Porsche is recalling its new 911 Carrera S model in North America because a coolant line in the center tunnel can knock against the quick connector of the fuel line causing a gasoline leak. More than 1,200 vehicles of the 2012 model year are affected by the safety defect.

No fires have been reported, but the first gasoline leak was reported by a customer less than a week after taking delivery of the $110,000+ sports car. Porsche will install a spacer ring on the fuel line to prevent contact and/or replace the line. Owners can contact Porsche at 1-800-767-7243.
