Volkswagen Group and Jeep Cut Deals with TomTom

TomTom today announced that it has been awarded a multi-year extension to an existing European deal to provide traffic service to Volkswagen Group car brands – VW, Audi, Porsche, VW Nutzfahrzeuge, Skoda, Lamborghini and Bentley. In addition, TomTom has been chosen as the traffic service provider for Audi vehicles in China and Japan. (See TomTom’s traffic congestion index)

In a related deal, TomTom said that it will supply connected navigation subsystems to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles’ Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV), the Jeep Renegade and Compass. Also included is the new TomTom EV Service that provides drivers of electric vehicles with information on charging points, for planning trips.
