OnStar Mexico announced today that its telemetric services are now active on the new Chevrolet Cheyenne (aka Silverado) and GMC Sierra pickups, and will be available on the Cadillac ATS later this year. More vehicles across GM’s four vehicle brands – Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac – will be equipped with OnStar throughout 2014.
A call center in Mexico is now, staffed around the clock with advisers trained to assist drivers with directions, vehicle information and emergency services.
“This is a very important step in GM’s global growth and in making connectivity services available to more consumers around the world,” said Mary Chan, president GM Global Connected Consumer. OnStar claims more than 6 million customers and 750 million customer interactions to date.

OnStar is complimentary for one year to allow subscribers to “experience the services.” Then subscribers may purchase their choice of two available packages, OnStar Connect (monthly: 299.00 pesos or $22.50; annually: 2,999.00, $225.70) and OnStar Connect Plus (monthly: 450.00 pesos, $33.87; annually: 4,500.00 pesos, $338.67.
