Audi of America announced today a new customer program, “Always Audi.” Customers – apparently, they are scarce – who purchase or lease a 2019 or newer Audi A4, A5 Cabriolet, Audi Q5 or Audi Q7 will receive seven rental days, which can be used individually, with Silvercar at no additional cost.
Silvercar is the fledgling all-Audi, car rental service available in 26 Silvercar locations nationwide. Program marks industry first for the so-called premium market by in Audi’s view proving a “customer experience linking ownership and on-the-go transportation needs.”
Cian O‘Brien, interim president and chief operating officer, Audi of America, which remains enmeshed in the Dieselgate emissions fraud scandal, said: “With this program, our customers can drive the Audi they love even when they’re away from home.”
Audi bought Silvercar in 2017, as part of an effort to offer mobility products and services by increasing access and flexibility to customers. Silvercar now offers four models, including the Audi A4, Audi A5 Cabriolet, Audi Q5 SUV and Audi Q7 SUV.
Silvercar grew in the past year, expanding to 26 locations nationwide, and claims it has helped make travel hassle-free with the launch of travel accessories, including complimentary Peg Perego premium car seats and pet carriers.

He also brings an historical perspective while citing their contemporary relevance of the work of legendary auto writers such as Ken Purdy, Jim Dunne or Jerry Flint, or writers such as Red Smith, Mark Twain, Thomas Jefferson – all to bring perspective to a chaotic automotive universe.
Above all, decades after he first drove a car, Zino still revels in the sound of the exhaust as the throttle is blipped and the driver’s rush that occurs when the entry, apex and exit points of a turn are smoothly and swiftly crossed. It’s the beginning of a perfect lap.
AutoInformed has an editorial philosophy that loves transportation machines of all kinds while promoting critical thinking about the future use of cars and trucks.
Zino builds AutoInformed from his background in automotive journalism starting at Hearst Publishing in New York City on Motor and MotorTech Magazines and car testing where he reviewed hundreds of vehicles in his decade-long stint as the Detroit Bureau Chief of Road & Track magazine.
