There are likely many more smart phones than Volvos in Canada. Since 2010 it has been owned by the Geely Holding Group, a Chinese multinational automotive manufacturing company.

Today, Volvo Cars is launching Care by Volvo  in Canada. Volvo says that “with technology changing the very nature of what it means to own a car, it is embracing a new, streamlined approach to car ownership by offering its first subscription-based program” at  the 37 Volvo automobile retailers in Canada.

With a few clicks on a smartphone, Canadians can order  a new car in less than 10 minutes. The Care by Volvo subscription includes services such as winter tire installation and storage, 24/7 roadside assistance, and a concierge service that assists Care by Volvo   subscribers through every step of the process including coordinating delivery with their local Volvo retailer.
