Barring a competitive response, the six-year/72,000-mile coverage includes the powertrain coverage for engines, transmissions and the optional 4Motion all-wheel-drive system. Major competitors to Atlas, namely Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander and Nissan Pathfinder, have a three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain coverage.
