Veloce Racing said today that Kevin Hansen and Molly Taylor will reunite with the team for the 2026 FIA Extreme H World Cup.* They were indisputably one of the top driver line-ups in Extreme H’s predecessor, Extreme E. Hansen and Taylor entered the first-ever Extreme H race last year with Jameel Motorsport and came away as the inaugural World Cup winners.
“As last year’s FIA World Cup winning drivers, we are delighted that Kevin and Molly are returning for 2026. They know what it takes to win in the Pioneer 25, and their experience and competitive spirit as a pairing will make them a formidable entry as we head into the second edition of the FIA Extreme H World Cup,” said James Taylor, Chief Championship Officer of Extreme H.
Veloce Racing established itself as one of Extreme E’s leading teams with Hansen and Taylor scoring five X Prix victories and nine podiums overall. The British squad ended the championship with a forceful final campaign, winning half of the season’s races and taking consecutive victories at the Hydro X Prix in Scotland to lead in the standings.
Drivers are People
Kevin Hansen became the youngest FIA European Rallycross Champion in 2016, winning four of five races and earning the FIA Rookie of the Year award. The Swede has since established himself as a leading FIA World Rallycross competitor, with four wins, 27 podiums and multiple championship top three finishes, alongside victory in the 2019 Nitro World Games Rallycross.
Molly Taylor from a motorsport family excelled in Australian rallying before moving to Europe, where she became the first woman to score a Junior WRC podium with third at Rally Finland in 2014. Returning to Australia, Taylor took the Australian Rally Championship title with Subaru in 2016 before making the switch to Extreme E, winning the inaugural season with Rosberg X Racing in 2021, sustaining her status as one of off-road racing’s leading drivers. For Molly Taylor, the 2026 season will also mark a significant personal milestone. Following the birth of her baby this summer, the Australian will be returning to competitive racing just a few months later.
“Molly and I have built a strong partnership over the years and coming back to Extreme H together as reigning winners feels great. I loved the format of the World Cup. It pushes us to our limits of performance and there are no second chances in any of the stages,” Kevin Hansen said.
“Kevin and I have developed a fantastic partnership, and winning the Extreme H World Cup together last year has only given us even more confidence in what we can achieve. It feels very special to be returning to Veloce and bringing that experience with us. This time we’re also embarking on a very different journey together having just welcomed my first child and Kevin having recently become a dad too,” said Molly Taylor.
“Coming back as a new mum will make this next chapter incredibly special, and undoubtedly challenging, but when I get behind the wheel, my ambitions won’t have changed. I want to get back to my best, compete with no limitations and help the team fight at the front from the very beginning. I maintained my training throughout my pregnancy with the goal of racing in Qiddiya City at the end of October and am extremely grateful to have had so much support throughout this journey. I’m incredibly motivated for the challenge ahead,” said mom Molly Taylor.
