Nissan Taking Leaf EV Orders in New U.S. Markets

Nissan North America started taking order for the 2012 Leaf electric vehicle today in Colorado, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York. Deliveries of the EV are promised in these markets by December.

Year-to-date Nissan has delivered about 7,000 of the pure electric vehicle, which has a range of about 85 miles. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price of the 2012 Leaf is $35,200 for the SV trim level, and $37,250 for the SL trim level. The monthly lease price begins at  $369.

Nissan will expand into additional new markets as the year continues. By the end of the year, Delaware, Indiana, Louisiana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island will be added as markets where the Nissan LEAF will be available for order.
