More Pricing Fits as Honda Cuts Fit EV Leasing Price
When first introduced during 2012 in California and Oregon, the Fit monthly lease only price was $399 for three years. The original leases would have expired this June. Honda only leased 1,069 Fit EVs between July 2012 and December 2014 during two model years, 2013 and 2014. Continue reading

Chevrolet Spark EV $25,000 after Federal Subsidy of $7,500
The 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV will be priced under $25,000 with tax incentives when it goes on sale starting next summer in California, Oregon, Canada and South Korea. Spark EV will be eligible for controversial high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes in California. The price is roughly twice that of a gasoline powered minicar, and that’s with incentives. Spark Plug-in EV to Debut in La-La Land at Los Angeles Show
Chevrolet will unveil the electric version of the Spark minicar at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. No technical details for the EV were released. The South Korean-made Spark EV will be sold in limited quantities in some U.S. and global markets, starting in 2013 in California. Continue reading

Honda Now Leasing Fit EV in Japan – Best Efficiency Claimed
Honda Motor Company is now leasing its Fit EV to local governments and businesses in Japan. The Number Three Japanese automaker, in a head on assault against Number Two Nissan, is claiming that the Fit EV has the world’s best AC energy consumption rate of 106 Wh/km and a charge mileage of 225 km – ~140 miles – according to a standardized Japanese test during the so-called JC08 mode. First 118 MPGe Honda Fit EV Delivered in California
American Honda initially will lease Fit in some California and Oregon markets. Some East Coast locations will be added next year. The EV is lease-only with a price of $389 per month for three-years, which computes to a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $36,625. Collision coverage, maintenance costs and roadside assistance service included in lease. Gasoline versions of the Fit sell in the $16,200 to $21,000 range. Continue reading
