U.S. September Vehicle Sales Projected Up. SAAR at 14.5 Million
September new-vehicle retail sales are projected to come in at 952,200 units, which represent a seasonally adjusted annualized rate (SAAR) of 11.8 million units. The forecast in September is more than 1 million units higher than September 2011. Total light-vehicle sales in September are expected to increase 11% from September 2011, with volume at 1,152,700 units for a SAAR of 14.5 million. Continue reading

U.S. Light Vehicle Sales in February Trending Up 5%
Total light-vehicle sales in February are projected at 1,064,700 units, only a 3% increase from February 2011. After a fleet mix of 25% in January 2012, levels are expected to be in the 19% range in February, slightly below levels one year ago, according to J.D. Power and Associates. Continue reading

January New Vehicle Sales up 23% from 2010. Slow Recovery?
January new-vehicle retail sales are forecast to come in at 632,100 units, which means a seasonally adjusted annualized rate (SAAR) of 10.0 million units, nearly 2 million units higher than January 2010. Continue reading
