What’s said to be the world’s first Charging Infrastructure Expo will be held 13-15 November at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan alongside The Battery Show. The forum is for industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss opportunities and challenges in the charging infrastructure industry, as well proving a showcase for the latest battery technologies and electric vehicle charging technologies.
By 2017, it is estimated that $4.3 billion will be spent on electric vehicle charging equipment, which given almost non-existent EV sales in the U.S. seems somewhat optimistic.
“The initial challenge – one that will be addressed at Charging Infrastructure Expo – is for business owners, managers and fleet operators to understand what charging infrastructure solution best fits their needs,” said Adam Moore, exhibition director.
“As EVs and hybrids become common place on roadways across the globe, companies’ investment in charging infrastructure and advanced battery technology will continue to grow. The expansion of The Battery Show, with the addition of Charging Infrastructure Expo, growing from a 65,000 sq ft exhibition to 130,000 in only a year is demonstrative of this,” said Adam Moore, exhibition director. Above all, decades after he first drove a car, Zino still revels in the sound of the exhaust as the throttle is blipped during a downshift and the driver’s rush that occurs when the entry, apex and exit points of a turn are smoothly and swiftly crossed. It’s the beginning of a perfect lap.
AutoInformed has an editorial philosophy that loves transportation machines of all kinds while promoting critical thinking about the future use of cars and trucks.
Zino builds AutoInformed from his background in automotive journalism starting at Hearst Publishing in New York City on Motor and MotorTech Magazines and car testing where he reviewed hundreds of vehicles in his decade-long stint as the Detroit Bureau Chief of Road & Track magazine.
