Free maintenance and cash rebates are GM’s latest offers in an attempt to boost fleet sales.

General Motors Fleet and Commercial Sales is now offering what could be an industry first free maintenance program with the purchase of  new or leased Chevrolet or GMC vehicles by business customers. The so-called GM Business Choice program includes a two-year, 30,000-mile Business Maintenance Plan, in addition to a cash allowance for vehicle accessories.

The free maintenance plan, which covers lube, oil and filter changes, tire rotation, and a 27-point inspection, is available to Business Choice customers on cargo, passenger and cutaway vans, chassis cabs, 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups and the Chevrolet Avalanche.

Customers will also receive a GM Accessory “cash allowance.”  As an example, a Chevy Silverado 1500 has a MSRP of $23,590, which includes the free maintenance and a $200 cash allowance. If a customer selects a vehicle with the Snow Plow Prep Package and purchases the plow, an additional $200 is added to the deal for a total of $400. Rebates of as much as $1,200 are available.

Small business customers who purchase more than one vehicle for work-related purposes may be eligible for the program. Also, customers are invited to join the GM Fleet and Commercial Customer Service LinkedIn group for responses to fleet-related questions.
