Stellantis (NYSE / MTA / Euronext Paris: STLA) said today that CEO Carlos Tavares will deliver a keynote address on Thursday, 5 January 5 2023 in the Venetian Palazzo Ballroom in Las Vegas during the Consumer Electronics Show.

The presentation will likely be notable because it includes the global reveals of the Ram 1500 Revolution Battery Electric Vehicle Concept and the Peugeot Inception Concept. RAM of course is badly behind Chevrolet and GMC, Hummer and Ford in electrification of trucks.  The RAM 1500 RBEV based on STLA Frame, the BEV-by-design body-on-frame architecture.(AutoInformed.com on: Stellantis Overhauling European Dealer Network in 2023)

More interesting is Peugeot. The brand has not said it is returning to the US market, so why is the reveal here? “The Peugeot Inception Concept will showcase how the brand takes advantage of the next generation of cockpit platforms to re-invent the whole automobile experience, redesigning the interior space and reshaping driving gestures around the next generation of the Peugeot i-Cockpit,” the release said.

The Peugeot Inception Concept was announced at the Paris Motor Show in October 2022. Peugeot says it “will show how the Lion brand is taking advantage of  ‘BEV-by-design’ next-generation electric platforms to turn the entire automotive experience upside down.” Maybe it should be revealed in Australia?

Peugeot said it is “completely redesigning the interior space, reinterpreting driving gestures around the new generation PEUGEOT i-Cockpit and creating new digital and physical experiences.”

The reveal on Thursday 5th January 2023 will be held live at CES from 23:00 CET. It will be followed by a digital presentation and discussion on the future of the brand with the “PEUGEOT Brand Forward”  at 9am CET on Friday 6th January.

He has automobile testing, marketing, public relations and communications experience. He is past president of The International Motor Press Assn, the Detroit Press Club, founding member and first President of the Automotive Press Assn. Above all, decades after he first drove a car, Zino still revels in the sound of the exhaust as the throttle is blipped during a downshift and the driver’s rush that occurs when the entry, apex and exit points of a turn are smoothly and swiftly crossed. It’s the beginning of a perfect lap. AutoInformed has an editorial philosophy that loves transportation machines of all kinds while promoting critical thinking about the future use of cars and trucks. Zino builds AutoInformed from his background in automotive journalism starting at Hearst Publishing in New York City on Motor and MotorTech Magazines and car testing where he reviewed hundreds of vehicles in his decade-long stint as the Detroit Bureau Chief of Road & Track magazine. Zino has also worked in Europe, and Asia – now the largest automotive market in the world with China at its center.
