Nissan Recalls LEAF EVs for Bad Rearview Cameras
Nissan North America (Nissan) is recalling ~58,000 model-year 2018-2022 LEAF electric vehicles because damage to the camera harness can cause distortion or loss of the rearview camera display image. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, “Rear Visibility.” If the rear view image is not available, rearward visibility may be reduced, potentially increasing the risk of a crash.
