Porsche Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen Plant to be Reconstructed
“60 years of the Porsche 911 and 75 years of Porsche sports cars, the double anniversary marks a special year for Porsche. The reconstruction measures and extensions to sports car production at our main plant are an important milestone for the Zuffenhausen site,” said Albrecht Reimold, Member of the Executive Board for Production and Logistics at Porsche AG. “The conversion measures will enable increased efficiency, the highest quality standards, and mixed production of combustion-engine and electric sports cars. This will see us start a new chapter in sports car production in terms of the smart factory.” Continue reading
Porsche Macan Compact SUV Debuts in Los Angeles
Porsche introduced a new compact SUV, Macan, built from a Volkswagen architecture at the Los Angeles auto show today. It is part of a global assault on the booming small SUV market and follows the Cayenne philosophy of offering multiple high performance powertrains. Continue reading

Porsche Macan Sales ~60% Electric
Porsche (P911.DE) said today in Stuttgart that it increased its share of electrified vehicles sold during the first half of 2025 to ~36.% for a 14.5 percentage points increase year-over-year.* These consist of 23.5% fully electric vehicles and 12.6 % plug-in hybrids. The strongest growth among the sports car manufacturer’s six model lines was recorded by the Macan with a 15 % increase.
“The fully electric Macan is making a significant contribution to our proportion of electrified cars,” said Matthias Becker, Board Member for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG. “Overall, we have succeeded in keeping sales volumes stable and balanced across the sales regions despite ongoing geopolitical challenges. Our customers continue to place great value on individualized vehicles, and we will continue to expand our offerings in this area.” Continue reading →
