Ford Shows All-New 2015 Edge Mid-Size SUV

Globally utility vehicle demand continues to expand, with Ford Motor Company selling a record 1.2 million Utes of various sizes in 2013 – up 38% compared to 2012. Not surprisingly, all major automakers are now crowding into the segments. Ford’s strategy is to take the front-wheel and four-wheel drive versions of the Edge upscale, with as much technology as can be packaged on a brand new global C/D platform. It looks like a good bet, if Ford can build such all-new complex vehicle without major quality gaffs, a weakness that seems to be improving. Continue reading

Toyota to Up Highlander SUV Production in Indiana by 50,000

Chevrolet’s All-New 2013 TrailBlazer Debuts in Dubai

The next generation TrailBlazer combines the hauling and towing capability of a body-on-frame SUV with what’s claimed to be the ride comfort and efficiency of a crossover. In other words, it’s a traditional American truck although it was developed along with the all-new Chevrolet Colorado pickup by GM do Brasil. While GM has announced the return of the Colorado to the U.S., but has not confirmed the TrailBlazer will join it, which seems an easy, though potentially cannibalizing, addition to the showrooms.
