BMW Group Sales – Small Increase YTD. Board Cuts Outlook

The BMW Group today posted Q3 Sales that increase of +8.8%. From January to September 2025, the BMW Group delivered a total of ~1.8 million BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles to customers, This is a sales growth of only +2.4%. During the same period, the company increased sales of fully-electric vehicles by +10.0% to 323,447 units. Between January and September, the BMW Group delivered a total of 470,313 electrified vehicles (BEV and PHEV) to customers (+15.0%). BMW Group Posts Slight Q1 2025 Sales Drop

BMW Group (Bayerische Motoren Werke AG ADR BMWYY) said today that global automotive deliveries were basically flat at 586,149. Compared to the previous year this represented a drop of -1.4%. China. was largely the problem, as it is for all non-native automakers. During the first three months of 2025, the BMW Group saw growth in Europe ( 241,867 for +6.2%) and the US (94,591 for +4.0%). This gives U.S. bragging rights to BMW since MBUSA (Mercedes-Benz Group AG MBGAF) sold 75,100 vehicles in the quarter. Outside of China, BMW growth was +5.9%. year-over-year. Continue reading

BMW Group Posts So-So Sales Results in 2024

With a total of 2,450,804 vehicles delivered to customers in 2024, the BMW Group said today that it achieved its new annual sales target that was adjusted downward during the second half of 2024. Electrified vehicles represented 24.2% of total BMW Group sales in 2024, with 593,215 units delivered to customers. Fully-electric vehicles accounted for 17.4% of total sales.

“The BMW brand delivered 2,200,177 vehicles to customers in the full year 2024 (-2.3%). With its attractive product portfolio across all technologies, the brand maintained its position as the global leader in its segment. In the Europe region, the BMW brand expanded its market share, registering double-digit sales growth in Italy, France and the UK. The BMW brand also posted sales growth in the U.S. In Germany, despite a declining market for fully-electric vehicles, BMW saw growth in new BEV registrations,” BMW said in a garbled release.
