First Look – 2024 Ford Mustang GT California Special
Ford Motor (NYSE:F) today revealed the 2024 Ford Mustang GT California Special, saying that it adopts modern style as a classic package returns. It will be offered on the 2024 Mustang GT Premium fastback coupe and convertible models, using visual cues of the 1968 original .The California Special package adds $1995 to the price of a Mustang GT Premium and is available in Coupe (~$47,015) and Convertible (~$56,999) body styles with either the six-speed manual gearbox or the optional 10-speed automatic transmission. Mustang GTD Runs Record Nordschleife Lap at 6m 40.835s
“Driven once again by Ford Racing and Multimatic factory driver Dirk Müller, the Mustang GTD Competition secured the sixth fastest time on the Nürburgring Pre-Production / Prototype Class leader-board,” said Joe Bellino Mustang GTD brand manager today. “Ford Racing engineer Steve Thompson also piloted the GTD Competition to a time of 6:49.337 around the Nürburgring – faster than Müller’s original record. Thompson has modest driving experience at the ‘Green Hell,’ having cumulatively driven the Nürburgring fewer than 40 laps,” Bellino said. Continue reading →
