Truck Galore! July US Auto Sales Best in Ten Years
In third place behind the Ford F-Series and Chevrolet Silverado pickups, the Toyota Camry again led the offshore brand sales at 38,435 units. The Honda Accord was in fifth place and the Nissan Altima in sixth place, with sales up 27% to 33,842 units. Not one Detroit Three car made the Top Ten list. Continue reading

China Light Vehicle Sales Drop Again in May
China Light Vehicle sales continued to decline in May, with year‐on‐year (YoY) growth in sales of locally‐made models dropping to 1.4%, marking the lowest level since September 2012 when the Sino‐Japan islands disputes disrupted the market. This is big trouble for The Volkswagen Group and General Motors both of whom rely on China for healthy profits. Continue reading

Ford Motor Q1 Disappoints with Sales, Revenue, Share Drops
This was the latest setback for Ford Motor CEO Mark Fields, who has been playing defense with declining performance since he took over from Alan Mulally in July of 2014. April US Light Vehicle Sales Forecast at +6% YOY
In April 2005, the last time sales for the month were close to this April’s projected range, light-trucks, including crossovers, sport-utility vehicles and pickups, made up 52% of the market, while cars accounted for 48%. GM Sells 2.4 Million Vehicles in Q1 2015
During 2014 in global sales saw Toyota Number One, VW Group Number Two and GM having bragging rights to We’re Number Three. It appears to be a trend. VW Group posted sales of 2.49 million. February US Sales Gains mostly from Trucks
Slumping car sales and rising truck, SUV and crossover sales in February saw auto sales at 1.26 million units as trucks rose 12% and passenger cars dropped 1.4%. The seasonally adjusted annual selling rate came in at 16.23 million compared to February 2014 at 15.41 million. Continue reading
GM Sales up Slightly in February as Trucks Soar
