Volvo Cars (VOLCAR B:STO)* today debuted an all-new, fully electric ES90. With order-books open now in some markets, the ES90 is the latest addition to Volvo cars. It is the sixth fully electric model in the line, joining the EX90, EM90, EX40, EC40 and EX30 as Volvo continues to covert to full electrification. US specifications and EPA range are not currently available.**
“The ES90 combines the refined elegance of a sedan, the adaptability of a fastback, and the spacious interior and higher ground clearance associated with SUVs. It’s a versatile car that does not compromise on comfort or space. A car that allows for bigger adventures and families, striking the perfect balance between your professional and private life, and allowing you to embrace the special moments in life,” Chinese-owned Volvo Cars said.

- The ES90 is designed to evolve over time and powered by next-generation core computers that represent an eight-fold improvement compared to the previous generation.
- Customers can choose from seven exterior colors and four wheel options that vary from 20 to 22 inches in size.
- The large and wide “tailgate hatch” makes it easy to load and unload. The boot provides up to 424 liters of loading space. Fold down the three rear seats – all of which can be folded down individually – and the loading space expands to 733 liters. The 22-liter capacity frunk up front can hold the charging cables.
- Its wheelbase of 3.1 meters provides legroom for second-row passengers.
- Six interior ambient light themes for sensory well-being and a variety of upholstery options allow personalization.
- ES90 comes with a panoramic roof that provides UV protection of up to a claimed 99.9%. An optional electro-chromic version, allows adjustment of the transparency of the glass.
- It has a four-zone climate system with an advanced air purifier, certified as asthma and allergy friendly. It can stop up to a claimed 95% of PM 2.5 particulates from entering the cabin and remove 99.9% of grass, tree and pollen allergens.
