Biden Recovery: Transportation Jobs Equal Pre-Pandemic
“In the second quarter of this year, we created more jobs than in any quarter under any of my predecessors in the nearly 40 years before the pandemic. We have more Americans working in the private sector today than any day during Donald Trump’s Presidency – more people than any time in our history,” said President Biden. Continue reading

The company also bears the costs for the licenses here. The rollout will start gradually in the third quarter in administration and in first pilot areas of production. Continue reading

Milestones – Cadillac CELESTIQ to be Built in Warren MI
Actual details of what GM is going to sell and lease are scant. CELESTIQ’s roof is expected to be one of the first to feature a four-quadrant, suspended-particle-device smart glass. With this smart glass, each occupant of the vehicle can set their own level of roof transparency. The driver and front-seat passenger will enjoy a pillar-to-pillar freeform display with active privacy to help mitigate driver distraction, GM said. AutoInformed will spare you from the taillight and door hinge photos. Continue reading
Milestones – 20 years of Porsche Cayenne SUVs
Ferry Porsche predicted in 1989: “If we build an off-road model according to our standards of quality, and it has a Porsche crest on the front, people will buy it.” He would eventually be right. Since 2002, the Cayenne has been one of the mainstays of the car manufacturer’s global success. Continue reading

Milestones – Production Begins for Ford F-150 Lightning EV
Ford Motor, whose existence was tenuous during the Great Recession, is now the top automaker in America in terms of 2021 production, sales of US-made vehicles and employment of hourly autoworkers. The F-150 Lightning is the only full-size electric pickup available now with a starting price less than $40,000. Ford F-Series has been America’s best-selling truck for 45 years running and is second only to the iPhone in revenue among all American consumer products, according to a 2020 study. Continue reading
Ford Issues 2022 Integrated Sustainability and Financial Report
The problem with all such reports is that saying something doesn’t mean that other areas of the company are actually supporting the stated goals. “Combining sustainability and financial performance in a single report,” Ford said, “is significant.” Well, given this, Ford has actively opposed attempts by stockholders at the last few annual meetings to reveal its PAC contributions. Is Ford dispensing shareholder money to politicians or companies that are actively opposed to its stated goals? Given the vast complexity of Ford’s, Democracies’ and the globe’s survival threats, it’s a key measurable in AutoInformed’s view. Continue reading

EPA Publishes Plan to Achieve Biden-Harris Priorities
Ruckelshaus was appointed by President Nixon when the agency was created in 1970 and Republicans cared about the environment. Among his many accomplishments was the banning of the deadly pesticide DDT. Ruckelshaus, resigned as deputy attorney general rather than institute President Richard M. Nixon’s illegal order to fire the independent special Watergate prosecutor Archibald Cox in the constitutional crisis of 1973 dubbed the “Saturday Night Massacre.” Only a small, but significant number of Republicans have had the courage to do so under the ousted-by-legal-voters, treasonous Trump Administration whose still ongoing constitutional crisis’ and corruption scandals have now implicated the Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, whose wife was calling for the overthrow of the duly elected government.
