Volvo Car Testing Batteries Built Into Body Panels

Volvo Car says it has developed a new lightweight battery that is molded and formed to fit around a car’s door panels, trunk lid and wheel housing. Aside from substantially saving on space, the Chinese-owned automaker claims that reduces the heavy weight, large size and high costs associated with the batteries used in hybrids and electric vehicles today, while maintaining power and performance. Nissan Le Mans Electric Racer Unveiled in Japan
