Citroën will sell a new special edition of 1000 units, which will be available in ten countries: France including the French overseas departments, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Morocco and Turkey. Buggy is priced at €10,490, ~$11,300.50 if you can get one. The last time around it took the fastest buyer to complete the entire purchase process of the first sale 2 minutes and 53 seconds. BMW Going with the EV Tyde at Cannes
Two 100 kW electric motors convert 240 kWh of energy supplied by six batteries from the BMW into a claimed range of more than 50 nautical miles (~100 km). The craft can deliver an operating speed of 24 knots, with a maximum speed of 30 knots. BMW said THE ICON “makes almost zero noise, without unpleasant vibrations or shocks and minimizing wake.” Continue reading

The design of Ranger is defined by distinctive grilles and front-end appearances for XL, XLT and Lariat models. The Ford C-clamp headlight treatment and strong shoulder lines down the sides incorporate bigger wheel arches The rear end mirrors the front with C-clamp tail-lamps, with “RANGER” stamped across the tailgate. Drip, Drip, Drip Marketing – Hummer Omega Edition
GMC revealed today the 2024 HUMMER EV Omega Edition, a limited-edition vehicle with a so-called Neptune Blue Matte1 exterior color that GMC hopes will attract buyers for a set of wheels that will be priced at levels among the stars. Pricing will be announced closer to production, expected in the first half of 2024. However, this is a UAW contract year, which means anything can happen at GM’s Factory ZERO Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center. Continue reading

OTA – More Horsepower for Mercedes EQE, EQS Customers
Mercedes-Benz said in Atlanta today that EQE and EQS customers in North America can now opt for more performance with the new “Acceleration Increase On-Demand upgrade,” available as an Over-the-Air update (OTA) This applies to Sedan and SUV models. Buick today revealed the 2024 Envista, a new nameplate in the fast-growing small SUV segment. In marketing speak, Envista has the cargo space and utility of an SUV, packaged inside sporty and sleek proportions typically found in a sedan. March Global Light Vehicles Sales Up 12%
The month-on-month (MoM) improvement in the SAAR is largely attributed to the rebounding of the China market as customers took advantage of expiring tax incentives before April, in LMC’s view. Relatedly, both the North American market and the Western Europe markets saw YoY improvements when compared against a very weak 2022. Cross Hybrid debuts the Fifth Generation of the Toyota Hybrid System with increased performance and efficiency. In a bow to America’s large appetite for cross-overs and trucks, it comes only in all-wheel drive as a version of the so-called TNGA-C platform. Ford Motor Q1 2023 US Sales Up 10%
Ford Motor’s (NYSE: F) overall vehicle sales – Ford Blue, Ford Pro, Model e and Lincoln – totaled 475,906, up 10.% with estimated share up over a year ago, the Dearborn based automaker said this morning. Sales increased in the usual areas across Ford’s strengths, including trucks (up 19.6%); three-row SUVs (up 47.6%); Bronco brand (up 18.3%); Ford Pro Transit van (up 86%); Mustang (up 5.2%) and electric vehicles (up 41%) on a year-over-year basis, which given last year’s dismal performance increased the percentage gains markedly.
