Aston Martin Adds Jobs to Build DBX707 SUVS in Wales

DBX707 is extensively revised in what has become an ultra-competitive luxury SUV segment. Starting with the powertrain, a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, now has ball bearing turbochargers and a new engine calibration for more power and torque. Also new to Aston Martin’s flagship high performance SUV is a 9-speed ‘wet clutch’ automatic transmission. Capable of managing much increased torque loadings compared with a regular torque converter automatic. The high-performance transmission allows output of the 4.0-literV8 to increase to  707PS and 900Nm, increases of 157PS and 200Nm compared to the DBX (V8). Continue reading

Cadillac V-Series Line Adds 2023 Escalade

AutoInformed is guessing that it will have the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine as the new CT5-V Blackwing. Installed there, it is rated at 668 horsepower and 649 lb.-ft. of torque. The existing Escalade is rated at at 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. Next hunch – 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Continue reading

Chevrolet Introduces 2024 Silverado EV 

She also teased the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV, a full-size pickup developed from GM’s Ultium platform. Customers will have the ability to buy or lease the truck within various price ranges, with MSRPs around $50,000, $60,000, $70,000, $80,000 and much, much more for the more for the flagship RST First Edition, which will debut with an MSRP of $105,000, plus $1695 for shipping. GMC Teases Electric Sierra Denali Pickup

First 2022 Toyota Tundra Built in Texas

In 2019, TMMTX announced an investment of $391 million to prepare for production of the 2022 Tundra, pushing its cumulative investment to more than $3.1 billion. The investment helped TMMTX prepare for production of the next generation Tundra by expanding its facility by 141,000 linear feet – equivalent to 470 football fields – for un-named new processes and technologies to bring the redesigned truck to customers. This included preparations to assemble a hybrid electric version Tundra – the brand’s 12th electrified vehicle. TMMTX is relatively small with the annual capacity to only build 208,000 vehicles. First Look – 2022 Hyundai Elantra N

Elantra N is powered by a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, direct-injected four-cylinder engine with a 52-mm turbine wheel and a 12.5-mm turbine passage – with an area increased by 2.5 mm. These enhancements, along with the optimization of the shape and material of the cylinder block, improve both performance and durability it’s claimed.
