EU Registrations: Q1 -12.3%, March -20.5%

The ongoing supply chain interruptions, further exacerbated by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, negatively affected car production. As a result, most countries in the region recorded double-digit drops in sales, including the four key markets: Spain (-30.2%), Italy (-29.7%), France (-19.5%) and Germany (-17.5%). February EU Commercial Vehicle Registrations Drop -15.7%

From January to February, demand for commercial vehicles in the EU decreased by 13.5% to 257,127 units registered in total. Covid Curse – EU Sales Drop 19% in February, -22% YTD

With 771,486 units registered across the EU region, according to ACEA, this marked the lowest February total on record since 2013. All four major EU markets recorded losses last month. November EU Commercial Vehicle Sales Flat. YTD -20%

Year-to-date reflects the ongoing Covid catastrophe. Sales at 1.5 million units  were down -20.3% 11 months into 2020. All EU27 markets – including the four major ones – have recorded double-digit declines so far in 2020, although less steep than in the preceding months: Spain (-28.4%), France (-18.4%), Germany (-16.3%) and Italy (-15.6%).
