Renault, Klépierre Join on Shopping Center Mobility Services

Groupe Renault and Klépierre are also developing multi-use charging hubs for electric vehicles, dubbed “Charging Houses or Maisons de charge.” These stations will be installed by Groupe Renault in the car parks of shopping centers located in high population areas and will be used primarily by visitors during the day and residents at night and on weekends. Ford GoRide Health Launches First Public Service

GoRide Health is operating in Toledo now, with service coming to Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus by the end of the year. Later this year, the business plans to begin offering its services in major cities in Florida, beginning with Miami. Cayenne Coupé Marks Asian Premiere

Ford Shakes Up Top Management. Again.

Ford Motor Company today announced leadership changes in the ongoing remake of its under-performing business (Ford Motor Company Declares Q2 Dividend of $0.15*). Joe Hinrichs is appointed president, Automotive, effective May 1. In this role, he will lead Ford’s drive to strengthen its Automotive operations and help deliver a sustainable global EBIT margin of at least 8%, about half that of the world’s leading automotive groups. Porsche E-sports – First Global Virtual Racing Series?

Forty “sim racers,” who have successfully made their way through a global qualifying process, will compete in series of ten online races – the first gets underway on April 13 on the virtual version of the Barber Motorsport Park in Alabama, USA. The final race will take place on September 28 at the Circuit Monza, Italy. The championship offers a $100,000 prize pool, according to a 1 April release. Continue reading

Daimler and Geely Form Joint Venture to Develop smart

It’s said that smart will gain shared expertise in manufacturing, engineering and design from both groups. Also, smart will expand to meet demand for electrification, with production based in China. Ford Shakes up European and International Markets as CFO Shanks Retires. Restructuring Continues as Stock Languishes

The more significant news, perhaps, is happening at Ford’s European money pit and its struggling International Markets Group. Peter Fleet, president of IMG, has announced his intention to retire. Fleet, 51, held leading in Ford marketing, sales and service, and business operations globally for nearly 30 years. Prior to the establishment of the International Markets Group, Fleet served as president of Asia Pacific, leading all of Ford’s operations and partnerships across the region.
