Volvo to Only Sell EVs Online as a Pure EV Company by 2030
The strategy is focused on what appears to be the fastest-growing segment in the global car industry: the premium electric market. Volvo Cars aspires to be a leader or at least a survivor in this segment and will focus on developing electric cars only going forward. Brazil – A Ford Motor South American Nightmare
In money-losing South America there is a governmental history of graft and corruption, economic catastrophes and failed financial and fiscal policies – among other factors at play. The brew distilling there appears to be 151-proof toxic. The outcome is a potential drunk-driving multi-car collision that will leave smoldering businesses and tragically ruined lives and careers. Daimler Truck, Volvo Group Create “cellcentric” Fuel-Cell JV
The joint venture will develop, produce and commercialize fuel-cell systems for use in heavy-duty trucks as the primary focus, as well as other applications. A key goal of Daimler Truck AG and the Volvo Group is to start with customer tests of trucks with fuel-cells in about three years and to commence series production during the second half of this decade. First Look – 2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport Sedan
As the first model in the new Lexus F SPORT Performance line, the IS 500 engine is larger in displacement and performance compared the IS 350’s 3.5-liter V6. (see AutoInformed on 2019 Lexus ES 350 in Production at Georgetown Kentucky) The IS 500 has a maximum output of 472 hp at 7,100 rpm and 395 lb.-ft. of peak torque at 4,800 rpm. Naturally it’s heavier at 3,891 pounds, gaining 143 pounds of additional curb weight over the standard IS 350 F SPORT. The IS 500 on paper is capable of delivering a 0-to-60 mph elapsed time of 4.5 seconds and has a manufacturer-estimated 24 mpg highway rating. Continue reading

Otherwise, the Kona EV does not incorporate any advances in EV or battery technology. Instead it has a different front fascia design. New headlamps and Daytime Running Lamps provide a different look. What this means, in short, is that things are getting tougher for companies that are part of the global warming crisis or want to profit from investors who wish to support firms that are run on an environmentally friendly basis. but wish to avoid the consequences. Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria are an “increasingly popular way for investors to evaluate companies in which they might want to invest,” said the SEC. In the financial markets, mutual funds, brokerage firms, and robo-advisors now offer products that employ ESG criteria.
