The all-new 2027 Mercedes-Benz C 400 4MATIC Electric arrives at U.S. dealerships in the first half of 2027 as MBUSA (MBG.DE, MBGAF OTC U.S.) is posting sales declines and all global automakers are wrestling with the negative trade and war policies of the Trump mis-administration. [Makers are also facing a marked shift in consumer presences to hybrid vehicles – AutoCrat].*

“The all-new electric C‑Class is redefining the mid-size segment for electric vehicles. Customers will get exactly what they expect from this new version of the beloved model: the perfect blend of performance, comfort, dynamics, and intelligence. On top of that, it is the most powerful and sportiest C‑Class we’ve ever built, offering pure driving pleasure and outstanding real-world range, all while being the perfect sanctuary for our customer,” claimed Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management, Mercedes‑Benz Group AG.

2027 C‑Class at a Glance in MB’s View

  • “Up to 762 kilometers of range [WLTP 2] and capability to charge 325 kilometers of range in as little as 10 minutes. [3]
  • “New all-electric C‑Class elevates the segment to an entirely new level – redefining it for the future.”

Alluring Points or Marketing Babble?

“Elegance with impressive charisma: With its coupe-like silhouette, iconic grille featuring 1,050 illuminated points (optional) and expressive GT rear design, the all-new electric C‑Class passionately embodies the latest Mercedes‑Benz design language, making it a unique and highly desirable statement in the midsize segment.

“Uncompromising quality and craftsmanship in every last detail: The all-new electric C‑Class takes the familiar “Welcome home.” feeling to an entirely new level, setting a new benchmark for premium quality and comfort. Flowing shapes, refined materials of the highest quality craftsmanship, including an available third-party-certified vegan interior, perfectly executed details such as optional “Twisted Diamond” design Nappa leather, and outstanding acoustic comfort create a unique atmosphere that appeals to all senses. The available new high-end seats indulge occupants with massage and 4D sound.

“A new level of efficiency and thermal comfort: The all-new electric C‑Class provides excellent thermal comfort, even in winter weather and without pre-conditioning. For example, on a 20-minute journey in 19-degree F weather, the interior heats up twice as fast compared to models powered by combustion engines. A multi-source heat pump requires only about half the energy.

“Create your own starry sky: With optional ambient lighting, 162 stars are illuminated in the available SKY CONTROL panoramic roof. These take on the color of the individually selected interior ambient lighting.

This is further elevated by the optional Agility & Comfort Package with 4.5-degree rear-axle steering, reducing the turning circle to 36.7 feet, and AIRMATIC air suspension with intelligent damping based on Car-to-X4 and Google Maps data.

“Smart driving redefined: The MBUX Virtual Assistant with generative AI enables complex multi-turn conversations, responding like an informed friend, and has short-term memory. Digital Extra: Navigation with Electric Intelligence1, MBUX Surround Navigation and the available MBUX Augmented Reality Head‑Up Display ensure clear route guidance, even in complex driving situations.

“Up to date and customizable: The Mercedes‑Benz Operating System (MB.OS) enables over-the-air updates1 for the entire vehicle software to keep the C‑Class up to date and refreshed. It also allows customers to customize the vehicle even after purchase with a growing portfolio of Digital Extras [1] in the Mercedes-Benz Store and the Mercedes-Benz app.

“Long-distance comfort at its best: The all-new electric C‑Class has a range of up to 762 kilometers (WLTP) [2] with aerodynamics and technical innovations such as the multi-source heat pump and one-box braking system with up to 300 kW of recuperation power. 800-volt technology and the new 94-kW battery enable up to 325 kilometers of range to be charged in as little as 10 minutes. Optional Digital Extra MB.DRIVE ASSIST [1] and Digital Extra: MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO1 [5] offer further expanded driver assistance features. The “CITY PRO” feature, which enables a seamless point-to-point driving experience – even in dense city traffic, will be available at a later date.

At market launch, the 482-hp C 400 4MATIC Electric will be available. The car runs from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds and has up to 762 kilometers [2] of electric range. With 800-volt technology, up to 325 kilometers of range (WLTP) can be charged in as little as 10 minutes [3]. The electric C-Class is able to cover well over 1000 kilometers with just one charging stop. The C 400 4MATIC has a new lithium-ion battery with a 94-kWh usable capacity. DC fast charging up to 330 kW is possible at 800-volt charging stations. A DC converter is fitted standard to also enable charging at 400-volt charging stations.

  1. The use of certain Digital Extras requires the continuous acceptance of the Terms of Use for Digital Extras and the Mercedes me ID Terms of Use in their respective current versions, the permanent pairing of the vehicle with the Mercedes-Benz user account, the consent to the storage and retrieval of necessary information to activate some Digital Extras within the paired vehicle and – where applicable – the activation of the Digital Extras. After the expiration of limited run-times, Digital Extras can be extended for a fee in the Mercedes-Benz Store, provided that they are still offered for the respective vehicle at that time. Furthermore, there may be additional prerequisites or restrictions for the usage of some Digital Extras, such as a separate customer-owned contract with a third-party provider (e.g., streaming, conclusion of a data contract for “Comfort Data Volume”, navigation functions), the activation of additional Digital Extras to secure full functionality or selected third-party products (e.g., smartphone, smartwatch). As an alternative to the “Comfort Data Volume” a customer-owned data volume (e.g., mobile hotspot) must be used depending on the generation of your multimedia system. Information on the personal data processed for the usage of Digital Extras can be found in the Privacy Notices for the Digital Extras. 2. The specified values were determined in accordance with the prescribed measurement procedure WLTP (Worldwide harmonized Light-duty vehicles Test Procedures). The energy consumption and CO2 emissions of a passenger car depend not only on the efficient utilization of fuel or the respective energy carrier by the car, but also on the driving style and other non-technical factors.
  3. The specified recharged range (WLTP) after 10 minutes was determined using the maximum DC charging power in accordance with ISO/SAE 12906 under the conditions described therein.
  4. In order to use the Car-to-X service, customers must have a Mercedes me connect account. Only then will data be collected in the car and the vehicle-related Car-to-X data transmitted to the backend, where it will be anonymized. Mercedes-Benz drivers can easily activate or deactivate the service via their user accounts in the Mercedes me portal or in the Mercedes me app. There they can also object to data being passed on.

  6. Passengers can use the entertainment functions while the vehicle is moving in line with country-specific legal regulations.
