Stellantis, Toyota Expand with New Large Commercial Van

Stellantis and TME’s collaboration started in 2012 with the Toyota’s mid-size LCV produced at Stellantis’ Hordain plant in France, followed in 2019 by a compact-size LCV segment, produced at Stellantis’ plant in Vigo, Spain. The large-size LCV announcement allows Toyota to complete a full LCV line-up in Europe. It also – as many such emerging agreements do – offsets the ruinous development and production costs of the ongoing electrification of offerings demanded by governments and customers. Renault Group, Plug Power to be at HyVolution Tradeshow

HYVIA is preparing a portfolio of three hydrogen powered light commercial vehicles: a van, a chassis cab and a city bus, with a range of up to 500 km, as well as a complete ecosystem of H2 stations, H2 production and associated services. The first vehicles are expected to be on the road from mid-2022. With a payload of up to 1000 kg, Master Chassis Cab H2-TECH is equipped with a 30-kW fuel cell, a 33-kWh battery and tanks containing 3 kg of hydrogen (2 tanks of 1.5 kg) at 700 bars. GM 2021 Sustainability Report – Equitable Climate Actions

The report comes after a Q1 earnings report that showed financial performance that was down for shareholders – at $1.35 per share, off  $0.68 compared year-over-year. Overall, Q1 net earnings of $ 2,939,000,000 came from $11 billion in revenue, with a Net Income margin of 8.2%, down 1.1 ppts.* GM’s Q1 market share was 9% on sales of 1.4 million units. Market share was down year-over-year due to semiconductor shortages and lack of dealer inventory. Milestones – Production Begins for Ford F-150 Lightning EV

Ford Motor, whose existence was tenuous during the Great Recession, is now the top automaker in America in terms of 2021 production, sales of US-made vehicles and employment of hourly autoworkers. The F-150 Lightning is the only full-size electric pickup available now with a starting price less than $40,000.
