Honda (NYSE: HMC) said today that it is hosting ~2000 students and teachers from more than 60 schools across ten of its U.S. production facilities in conjunction with National Manufacturing Day (MFG Day). This annual event is a part of the company’s ongoing effort to prepare a “future-ready workforce” for careers in American manufacturing. This year’s MFG Day is today 3 October. However, events are held throughout the month to build awareness about careers.

Gasoline Demand Dropping, Pump Prices Flat

The national average for a gallon of regular the same as it was one week ago at $3.15, according to AAA.*
“Tis the season for lower gas prices as demand drops and gas stations make the switch to winter-blend gasoline which is cheaper to produce. Crude oil supply remains robust as OPEC+ – a group of oil-producing countries – is likely to announce in the coming days another production increase in November. That surplus coupled with weaker demand is keeping pump prices down, even as some U.S. refineries are expected to go offline this month for seasonal maintenance,” said AAA. Continue reading →
